BUT WHY!?
My niece has this habit where she absolutely have to question everything.. This is it is my turn to ask .. BUT WHY!? Why is it in every freak'n new job, old staff members are threatened by rookies?! They try to be friendly and get close to you, then they tell you how bad this place is.. How corrupted management is.. How crappy the pay is.. And then they turn around and say.. But they must have made it up for you, how much are they giving you? Or ( and this is my favorite) "who's your was6a!? "
IF IT WAS THAT BAD THEN WHY IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU STILL AROUND?! hahaha Thank god for optimism! I think my presence threatens them! They constantly ask how I am doing.. And how my sales are going (yes I have a target and I am in sales!)
I thought I should have been the one fearing those guys!

stay by yourself at the very beiging dontsocialise with people so you ars not classified.. they will say you are a snob and ,,,,,, dont care keep to yourself and office socialising will come naturly untill the new rookie comes along ..

In situaltional leadership I learned there are 4 types of employees in 4 development levels.. D1 which is an inthusiastic beginner.. sucha s youself then there's D2 Disillusioned learner..D3 they're capable but caustios those are the ones you are describing they tend to linger around..ask questions , pretend that they offer help and what they do is spy.. ignore all and just stick to what you know is right.. do your job the best way you can and never look back.
There will always be some people who thrive on ur success.. don't let them do that.
do it your way.. listen more than you talk.. and observe ..it's always healthy to observe your surroundings without commenting.. you will gain experience without gaining enemies.

Those people who are asking questing and how bad this place is… they are not but losers… I guess they were given the chance and the opportunity but they failed…
So insecurity in keeping up with their job is really making them like this…. Enjoy your work and improve… never stop…. Good luck

mosan :* thank you love.. and I agree.. I never leave my office to socialise.. they are coming to me so far.. and I smile and act innocent and naive.. taking it all in.. filtering the good and bad apples :)
3abeer.. I feel more like a disillusioned learner right now .. my first impression felt like a big slap in the face.. but I am paying attention to everything.. I hope to turn into a D4 ASAP!
engineeroo.. you know something.. I think you are so right.. there are 2 in particular that CONSTANTLY ask me how I am doing and how I am coping and I do believe that they are frustrated because they did not reach their highest potential.. ed3eeeli .. inshallah aksir 3ainhum! ;)
